All of the exhibits have been found all over Wyoming. Dee the Mammoth was
found near..There also was a Trex recently found near.... This Trex may not be ready for display for another 3 years.
This find is very exciting since the whole skelatin, except a few bones, were found all together in order.
The people digging this site actually cut out the whole slab of rock and brought it back to Casper College.
The chunk of rock is so big that it has to be stored in a different building than the museum. The Trex will eventually will be
brought in the museums to the Tate Prep Lab to be cleaned up. At the Tate Prep Lab is where they clean and work on fossils found. There is a huge
window that you can look through and watch them work. It is a very cool learning experience.
Surprisingly the most common
dinosaur found in Wyoming is the Triceratops and the duckbill. There are very few
full bodies of the triceratops. Usually only the head of the dinosaur is found. The team up at the museum is currently working on the frail and horn
of a triceratops.
